Our Story

Built on patience,
served with purpose

Grindstone Coffee Co. started with a simple conviction: that a great cup of coffee shouldn't require a fancy address. In 2019, we opened our doors on South Broadway with one espresso machine, a handful of regular tables, and a commitment to doing the basics exceptionally well.

Today, we're still that neighborhood spot. Our beans are roasted in small batches so every bag has a story — origin, process, flavor profile — and our bakers show up before sunrise so the croissants are ready when you walk in. We know our customers by name, and we remember how you take your coffee.

Santa Maria is our community, and we take that seriously. That means sourcing locally when we can, reducing waste wherever possible, and making sure there's always a warm seat and a friendly face waiting for you.
